Course Outcome:
This module will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely perform oxygen therapy and resuscitation in the workplace.
Entry Requirements:
Current First Aid certificate or equivalent.
Nominal Duration:
4 hours
Competencies to be achieved during the training:
At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe procedures when using Medical Oxygen Equipment
- Demonstrate the administration of Oxygen Therapy to a spontaneously breathing patient
- Demonstrate the resuscitation of a non-breathing casualty using:
- Self-Inflating Bag & mask
- Manual Oxygen Powered Resuscitator.
